Lucy + Josh got married!
Our last wedding of the year didn't disappoint! We sailed to Northern Ireland, where Lucy is from. The weather was awful. Rain and wind to the point where we crawled our way in the hotel. Once in, we went to see these two. And oh did we know how awesome that day was going to be! They were so wonderful, laid back, happy. They did a first look. To be fair, they were both ready almost two hours before the ceremony so there was plenty of time for that! Rebecca @hunibex and Rose @rosealexisblanc were just wonderful and rocked hair and makeup perfectly on time! When Lucy and Josh saw each other they were holding back tears. Such a beautiful moment!
We even had time for a little couple shoot *before* the ceremony - a first for us!
Time for the ceremony. In Northern Ireland, they're a lot more flexible with options! We had Ann Pinkerton - Humanist Wedding Celebrant Northern Ireland @annpinkerton_humanistweddings leading the ceremony with some juicy stories about these two.
Straight after, we brought all the guests outside in the storm - it had stopped raining by then! They had one of the best confetti storm we've ever seen! The wind and the thin paper confetti from Proper Confetti @proper.confetti was the perfect combo!
Lucy looked like a dream in her @ivyandwhitebride dress.
Speeches (oh we laughed!), delicious food, Irish dancing, party. Oh the day flew by! And what a memorable day. It didn't end there though. We had planned a little excursion through the forests and mountains of Northern Ireland. We lost ourselves in a maze by the mountains. We hiked through the forests where Game of Thrones was filmed. We sought the mountains and chased the sun as it was setting. Running uphill, until we could feel it on our faces.
Lucy and Josh, this has been an incredible adventure. Thank you for asking us to capture it all completely and without compromise. We feel like we left Ireland having made friends. This adventure is only the beginning though. And we know yours will be exceptional.
